Dr. Emily Forsgren

Associate Chiropractor

Dr. Emily Forsgren, a Chiropractic Physician, is committed to helping families lead healthy lives.  After living in Chicago for the past 13 years, she is thrilled to return to Cleveland, her hometown!  She received her Doctorate in Chiropractic (DC) from National University of Health Sciences.  While at National, she completed her clinical internship at a non-profit clinic providing care to Chicago’s underserved community.  In addition to her studies of chiropractic, physiotherapies, and musculoskeletal conditions, Dr. Emily has advanced training in chiropractic family practice, acupuncture, nutrition, and functional medicine.

She is a Webster Certified Chiropractor; the Webster Technique is a specific evaluation and adjustment that promotes balance of the pregnant patient's pelvic bones, muscles, and ligaments.  She has completed the BIRTHFIT professional and coach trainings, which focus on supporting women throughout the motherhood transition using the 4 pillars of BIRTHFIT:  Fitness, Nutrition, Chiropractic and Mindset.  She has been trained by and is a member of the ICPA, a group dedicated to chiropractors specializing in prenatal care, pregnancy, infants and children.

In addition to her training in pediatric and prenatal care, Dr. Forsgren's chiropractic education has been informed by the McKenzie Institute, Motion Palpation Institute, and the Prague School’s Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization. The education from these fine institutions has provided Dr. Forsgren with approaches proven to be effective and safe for patients of all ages, from infants to the geriatric population and everyone in between.

Dr. Forsgren's interest in whole health for the whole family has led her to post-graduate training in Functional Medicine.  This year, she will be eligible to sit for her diplomat in internal medicine (DABCI).   The path to becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Chiropractic Internists has allowed her to further explore her passion for helping individuals discover the underlying causes to their aches, pains, and chronic diseases.

Dr. Emily is so excited to have this opportunity at Cleveland Chiropractic and Integrative Health Center!  She looks forward to partnering with patients on their path to health and wellness.

“Dr. Gesicki is a professional, kind, and attentive doctor.  I began seeing Dr. Gesicki for chiropractic care for my back, neck, and shoulders.  She also did acupuncture to help relieve me of my migraines, and after some time I was able to stop my preventative medication.  Dr. Gesicki also provided prenatal care and support during my pregnancy.  She provided exercises and overall body care.  Once the baby was delivered she encapsulated my placenta, which was great to help prevent the baby blues.  She did a home visit to deliver my encapsulated placenta as well as she provided an acupuncture treatment to help with postpartum care.  Dr. Gesicki has been an important part of my wellness, I’m grateful for her caring spirit and heart.”
